Dr. Charlotte Thompson has been a practicing physician for 50 years
and is a board-certified pediatrician. In 2005-2008, she was named one
of the top pediatricians in the U.S. She is an Assistant Clinical
Professor of Pediatrics at U.C. San Diego Medical School and the author
of seven non-fiction books. She founded and directed a center for
children with disabilities in San Francisco which closed three years
ago due to a decrease in welfare and insurance payments, grant funds,
and contributions. She has been a consultant for several other
neuromuscular programs and had special training in neuromuscular
disorders in the U.S. and England. She has worked in well-baby
clinics, school health programs, and had a private pediatric practice
in La Jolla, California. She has two wonderful children,
two grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.

Raising a Handicapped Child -First published by William Morrow in 1986 and has been out in five different forms since then, The last version which was revised and expanded was published by Oxford University Press in 2000. It sells consistently.
Raising a Child with a Neuromuscular Disorder was published in 1999 by Oxford University Press and still sells.
Single Solutions was published in 1990 by Branden Books, Random House, and Econ-Verlag in Germany
Making Wise Choices was published by Branden Books in 1993.
Letters Home was published by Trafford Publishing Company in 2005.
101 Ways To The Best Medical Care was published by Infinity Publishing Company in 2006.
